Hammerson CFO announces retirement

The chief financial officer (CFO) at Hammerson, Himanshu Raja, has informed the board of his intention to retire from the position.

He will step down from the role and as a director on 12 August, following the publication of the company’s half-year results to 30 June.

Raja has served as the property development and investment company’s CFO for five years, with a career spanning 40 years, including 15 years as a listed company CFO across a number of sectors.

He will remain employed by the company for the next 12 months, remaining available to assist with an orderly transition.

Hammerson’s deputy CFO will become interim CFO when Raja steps down, and the firm will now commence a formal recruitment process to identify a permanent successor.

Chief executive officer at Hammerson, Rob Wilkinson, said: "Hammerson's FY25 results are a testament to the hard work and exceptional execution of the Hammerson team over the last five years. Himanshu has been an outstanding CFO over that period, leaving the Group well placed for the next phase of growth. I would like to personally thank him for his support and continued commitment to Hammerson's success."

Raja concluded: "When I look back at my time at Hammerson, what stands out for me is the amazing people and the phenomenal progress we have made together. I'm sincerely grateful to my colleagues, the Executive team and the Board for their support throughout my time here. As I retire, I leave with genuine confidence in the future of the business and its continued success."
