Shearwater Group has appointed Jonathan Hall as its new chief financial officer (CFO).

The cybersecurity, advisory and managed security services group confirmed that Hall will start in the role from tomorrow (28 August) and join the board at the end of September.

Outgoing interim CFO, Adam Hurst, is to remain with the group for a short transition period.

Shearwater said that Hall will bring a “wealth of experience” to the group, having recently worked as finance director at media and technology business Gfinity, where he spent over nine years. He has also previously spent five years as finance director at Saracens Ltd.

Chairman at Shearwater, David Williams, commented: “Following a thorough search process, we are delighted that Jonathan will be joining the business and the board. He brings a wealth of experience to the group and I have every confidence that he will make a substantial contribution as we seek to improve shareholder returns.
