HSS Hire has confirmed that Richard Jones has assumed the role of the group’s interim chief financial officer (CFO).

The supplier of tool and equipment hire confirmed in May that its former CFO, Paul Quested, would be stepping down from the role.

Jones has over 13 years of experience in finance roles in UK public and private companies. He is currently senior independent director and audit committee chair of Alliance Pharma, and non-executive director of C4X Discovery, and most recently CFO and company secretary of Medica Group Plc.

Prior to Medica, Jones was CFO of Mereo Biopharma and previously CFO and company secretary of Shield Therapeutics.

HSS Hire, which is listed on the AIM of the London Stock Exchange, confirmed in a statement that Jones would work closely with Quested over the next few weeks to “ensure a smooth handover”.
