Asos announces change of CFO

Asos has appointed Aaron Izzard as its new chief financial officer (CFO), who will replace Dave Murray in the role at the online fashion retailer.

The move will come into effect from 1 July with Murray to remain in place with the company for a handover period.

Asos said the transitions reflects its “evolution” as it moves from a successful financial turnaround into a “phase of sustained operational execution” and long-term strategic growth.

Izzard has more than two decades’ experience across a range of senior finance roles in the retail and ecommerce industry, and in his tenure at Asos has most recently served as director of group finance.

Asos CEO, José Antonio Ramos Calamonte, said: “Now is the time to further strengthen our focus on delivering sustainable, profitable growth and better customer experiences.

“Aaron has a strong track record of delivering operational efficiency and strategic thinking which will be key to continuing our successful transformation. I am confident that his experience and skills will be a great asset as CFO in the next phase of our journey.”

Asos chair, Jørgen Lindemann, added: “I am pleased to welcome Aaron to the board as CFO. We have been impressed with his ability to drive change at speed and are excited to see him continue the great work he has been doing, with his deep knowledge of Asos’ operations. This transition underscores ASOS' commitment to long-term strategic execution and value creation.”
