The Mission Group has received a fresh takeover bid from Brave Bison to the tune of approximately £32.2m, and has added that it is currently "evaluating" the offer.
The digital marketing firm rejected an earlier bid of £27m last month, stating that the offer from Brave Bison, which owns the Social Chain agency founded by Steven Bartlett, was "opportunistic and significantly undervalues the group and its prospects".
However, under the new offer, Mission would retain 50% of the shares in the firm.
In a statement by Mission, the firm said: "While the board's preliminary view is the revised possible offer does not reflect Mission's contribution to the proposed combined group, the board, together with its financial and legal advisers, is evaluating the revised possible offer and a further announcement will be made in due course."
Under takeover rules, Brave Bison now has until 5pm on 9 June to make a formal intention for the firm or walk away from the deal.
