Cambridge Nutritional Sciences (CNS) has appointed Ajay Patel as its new chief financial officer (CFO), starting with immediate effect.

He brings over 30 years of finance experience to the role at the specialist medical diagnostics company, having graduated from University College London and trained at PwC.

Patel spent more than 14 years at Tesco in a range of senior finance roles and has CFO and company secretary exposure to growing businesses in retail, e-commerce, logistics, wholesaling, education and charities.

Chair at CNS, Carolyn Rand, said: "As a board, I am delighted to welcome someone with Ajay's experience into our business to work alongside our CEO to help drive the business forward and deliver our strategy.
